What it does
Mail CLI lets the account owner search and read mail, work with labels, archive messages, mark messages read or unread, move messages to or from Trash, retrieve attachments, and create or update drafts. It does not expose a send action.
Google access
Mail CLI requests the narrow Gmail scope its features require:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify
This scope permits mailbox changes, so Mail CLI adds an independent local policy layer that refuses every send-shaped command.
How data is handled
- OAuth credentials and tokens are stored in protected, account-specific folders on the account owner's device.
- Mailbox data is requested only when the owner invokes a permitted operation.
- Mail CLI does not operate a hosted data-collection service and does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
- When the owner uses Mail CLI through a chosen AI assistant, the requested result is returned to that client to perform the owner's requested task.
Access and support
Mail CLI is private software for authorized accounts and is not offered as a public mailbox service. For privacy details, read the privacy policy. Questions may be sent to hello@ceventurepartners.com.
